Jennifer Duann Fultz is a high school science teacher, turned blogger, content strategist, and copywriter (she’s also Shelby’s braintwin, but that’s another story). The A-minus Mama is her personal blog where she shares her life experiences as a freelancer and “cray-at-home mom.” We wanted to share how she describes herself on her blog, because with think it’s delightful, and hope you do too!
The A-minus Mama has been rollin’ and hatin’ her way through 29 needlessly dramatic years of life. She resides in Central Ohio with her husband Science Guy and son Fire Monkey. As a trained high school science teacher, she has absolutely no relevant experience for parenting an infant, hence her thoroughly A-minus performance. This is her blog. 🙂
What and Why
When Jenn approached us, she wanted to refresh her blog’s image, and create a better visual representation of her style, the name, and concept of her blog. She also wanted some direction on putting together her site.
We created a visual identity for the A Minus Mama that touched on Jenn’s background as a teacher, and her current role as a wife and mother, while sticking to elements that aesthetically reminded us of her spirit and personality. The branding work we did allows her (already vibrant) words to come to life in each post, as the readers enter her world. We also helped Jenn navigate constructing her WordPress site, and introduced her to tools that she found very helpful for her DIY endeavor. Jenn’s project was a pleasure, and we especially enjoyed her enthusiasm with our work (see testimonials to the left. ) 🙂
